This webinar will focus on tailoring your recruitment messaging and engaging the volunteer and donor through the entire partnership cycle of recruitment, engagement, and retention. Coalition board member and former Sierra Service Project summer staffer Sara Platnick will lead this. Sara brings expert industry experience as a PR expert at LaunchSquad alongside her home repair experience.

Sara Platnick is a Coalition for Home Repair Board of Directors member and communications manager for high-growth startups. Her work spans many industries, and her primary responsibilities are helping companies grow their awareness and market recognition through strategic messaging programs and media relations. Before moving into communications, Sara worked in a newsroom with various nonprofits and political campaigns. Growing up, Sara volunteered for seven summers with Sierra Service Project (plus an SSP trip to Nicaragua and two years on summer staff), where she developed a passion and appreciation for home repair as a means of poverty alleviation. She is based in New York City.

This webinar will begin with a presentation led by Sara Platnick, an industry expert. Peer round table discussion will be available immediately following the presentation. Come with questions and ideas about recruiting, engaging, and retaining volunteers and donors.
