Special Interest Groups

Members should contact the group leader using the contact information below to join a Special Interest Group. If a group does not have contact information listed, that group is not actively meeting and is seeking a volunteer group leader.

The following SIGs are currently active or have been active in the past:

  • Healthy Homes

  • Camp Model Programs

  • Local Model Programs

  • Anti-Racism

  • Kingdom Builders

Why participate in a Special Interest Group?

The Coalition for Home Repair was created to bring home repair non-profit organizations together to make a greater impact. Special Interest Groups provide members with an organic space to learn from and support one another. Some groups schedule speakers and presentations for their meetings, while others use the space for program updates and working through challenges together.

What are the expectations of a Special Interest Group Leader?

The commitment for leading a SIG is minimal but nonetheless vital to the group's success.

SIG leaders are asked to:

  • Schedule meetings - most groups meet 3-6 times per year

  • Host the Zoom meetings

  • Communicate with group members

  • Provide the Coalition staff with meeting schedules and attendance
