Healthy Homes Affinity Group Meeting

Previously meeting quarterly, this group is now meeting monthly. 

Affinity group goals: 

• To collect and share data related to the health outcomes of home repairs so that we can replicate successes in other communities. 
• To share knowledge about healthcare partnerships and other success stories, and to encourage each other.
• To include mental health in our discussions and considerations as well.

In May, we'll have a round table discussion of best practices and tips and tricks in the field:
-How to minimize lead paint hazards for volunteers and clients
-Which cleaning products are EPA safe - choice cleaning products
-Strategies for keeping volunteers safe from mold exposure on site
-Orientation and training of volunteer safety officers - best practices, what works, etc.

We'll revisit our falls prevention project at the end of the meeting. Those who have started asking our common questions will share feedback and questions, and we'll discuss an opportunity to possibly get funding for building materials for the projects.
