This interactive webinar is part of our 2025 Aging in Place Cohort series, but all are welcome to join! Whether you're new to the space or a seasoned home repair program staff member, this session is designed to be a collaborative conversation centered around the unique challenges and emerging solutions related to supporting older adults who wish to age safely and comfortably in their homes.

Together, we’ll explore common barriers programs face, from outreach and intake hurdles to staffing and funding limitations. We’ll also create space to learn from one another by sharing creative adaptations and community-based innovations that have helped programs improve service delivery, increase impact, and ensure equity.

This roundtable will be a space for open dialogue, peer connection, and collective problem-solving. Come ready to share, listen, and leave with new insights and strategies to strengthen your aging in place efforts.

Discussion topics may include:

  • What are the biggest barriers your program is currently facing in serving older adult homeowners?
  • What intake processes have worked well (or not so well) for older adult clients, especially those who may have mobility or cognitive limitations?
  • Are you seeing increased demand for certain types of repairs or modifications (e.g., accessibility, safety upgrades)? How are you responding?
  • How is your program managing limited staff capacity and/or volunteer availability?
  • What creative funding strategies or partnerships have you explored to support aging in place work?
  • How are you measuring the impact of your aging in place efforts?
  • What innovations or low-cost solutions have you implemented that have improved outcomes for clients?
  • Are there particular training or resource gaps that you think need more attention in the home repair field?
