Job Title: Director of Development

Pay Rate or Range: $50,000-$75,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with TRT's mission and goals, with a focus on achieving the budget target.
  • Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, church partners, and volunteers, with the goal of upgrading volunteers to donors and enhancing donor retention.
  • Grant Management: Manage current grants and proactively identify future grant opportunities. Write and submit grant proposals to foundations, nonprofits, and government agencies.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with TRT supporters, sharing the organization's impact and success stories. Coordinate public fundraising campaigns throughout the year.
  • Network Expansion: Expand TRT's network of donors, with an emphasis on reaching out to larger community foundations and the public. Grow existing relationships with AmeriCorps, SBP, Texas Methodist Foundation, and corporate funders.
  • Board Engagement: Attend board meetings, providing updates on fundraising progress and collaborating with the Fundraising Sub-committee. 
  • Volunteer and Church Partnerships: Engage with volunteers and church partners throughout the year, fostering continued support and collaboration.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly reports for board meetings and grant reports as required by grant awards. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit management and fundraising. Experience with grant acquisition, grant writing, fundraising campaigns, and digital communication. Proficiency in Salesforce (donor and volunteer management), Squarespace (website management), MailChimp (communication), Microsoft 365, and Donorbox. Respectful of diverse religious and cultural backgrounds, able to work effectively with individuals from all walks of life. Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate closely with the TRT team.

Compensation: Five-figure competitive salary based on experience, with health insurance options and a generous vacation policy.
