Helpful points to consider when applying:

Contact Information section - You can specify if you are applying for someone else, the applicant just has to be aware of it or the applicant can identify someone that is helping them through the process by listing them as a collaborator.

Hardship/Crisis section - Explain history/situation Make this impactful. Include the tragedy experienced and what steps they’ve taken so far. What is the applicant’s plan/goal and how can GR Foundation help them achieve it?(What is the ask? For example: medical bills, groceries, house payment, gift card for building supplies, payment for a contractor to complete repairs, etc.)

Referral Source section – Please have the applicant choose option: "I am a client of a nonprofit/social service agency that referred me" then provide your organization name.

To begin the application process, please go to our website: https://www.gr-foundation.org​. From there, you will click “Request Assistance.” It will bring you to our application database, click “APPLY,” then create a username and password by clicking “REGISTER” in the upper right-hand corner. You are now ready to start the application and work through each section, clicking “mark as complete” as you finish each tab. It’s a user-friendly, very basic initial application; however, we're here to help if you have any questions. Please send email krystal.schwabauer@rate.com to let her know when an application has been submitted and provide her with the applicant name or application ID and she'll confirm it’s been received.
